Crane Inspection

Crane inspections are a legal requirement in accordance with the Western Australian government Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (1996) or the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations (1995), depending on the worksite where the crane is being used.

All cranes, including bridge, gantry, mobile, monorail, davit, jib and vehicle loading cranes (e.g. HIAB, PALFINGER) require regular inspections. Inspection intervals vary in accordance with the requirements of the relevant part of AS 2550 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use and include routine, periodic, major and changed-operation inspections.

Mechsafe can provide more than just function, limiter, indicator and other typical basic crane inspection tests; we have the in-depth design know-how to also provide engineered repair and remedial solutions and re-rating calculations to damaged or changed-operation equipment.
