Engineering Critical & Fitness-for-Service Assessments

Mechsafe offers both engineering critical assessments and fitness-for-service assessments as part of the service range. Our principals have experience in both mining, offshore, and general structural applications, working to the latest editions of BS 7910 and API 579. From level 1 assessments through to level 3, non-linear finite element analysis and 3D crack propagation studies, Mechsafe deliver fast, reliable and accurate asset fitness for service reports. Matt Rudas holds a PhD in fracture mechanics from the University of Western Australia and has a close working relationship with the developers of BEASY, the world’s leading fracture and fatigue crack growth simulation software. Matt earned his Masters degree at the Wessex Institute of Technology, founded by the originator of the Boundary Element Method – the superior method for calculating the fracture parameters essential to any critical asset integrity assessment.
